⚠️ Legal Classification

Case 3: Mrs. Wong Policy Voided — Husband Forced to Reinsure
Mrs. Wong bought CI insurance for husband via rebate channel. Three years later, agent was delicensed for multiple rebates. Insurer investigated and voided policy. Husband had to reinsure at 30%+ higher cost due to age and health changes.

Case 4: April 2024 Joint Enforcement Action
First joint IA-ICAC action targeting unlicensed sales and corruption for Mainland clients. Searched a broker and referrer company, arrested 1 broker and 1 referrer. Wong Ka Keung organized at least 9 people, using seriously ill individuals as policyholders, defrauded insurers of ~HKD 27M in claims over 3 years. Main offender sentenced to 6 years 4 months.
